Conservation Friends

WILD SOUTH is "a non-profit grassroots organization whose mission is to inspire people to enjoy, value and protect the wild character and natural legacy of the South."   Wild South is a major supporter of Earthshine Nature's outreach programs.  Their support has allowed us to present wildlife and nature programs to many schools, wildlife fairs and the annual Mountain Wildlfie Days festival in Cashiers, NC.   

SAVE THE FROGS! is America's first and only public charity dedicated exclusively to amphibian conservation. Our mission is to protect amphibian populations and to promote a society that respects and appreciates nature and wildlife.

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is working hard to defend ocean wildlife and habitats worldwide!



JOHN RUCKER and his TURTLEDOGS will come to you and help you locate turtles at your research, conservation or rescue site.  John is a great friend and ally in wildlife conservation and his dogs are truly amazing to behold.  

NATURE JOE is a longtime friend who presents animal shows to folks of all ages.  Joe is based in Eureka California.  

Evergreen Community Charter School is a wonderful eco-conscious charter school in Asheville, NC.  

MUDDY SNEAKERS  is an outdoor education provider from Brevard, NC.  The team from Muddy Sneakers is putting an end to "nature deficit disorder" by working "To awaken in children a deeply felt connection with the natural world, one that inspires curiosity, stimulates learning, and brings new life to classroom performance."  I have worked with Muddy Sneakers and I can say from experience that what they are doing for kids is wonderful and so important--kids must have a connection with nature to be healthy! 

TEAM ECCO in Hendersonville, NC.  "Our thing is taking children, and any adults brave enough, and opening their eyes, hearts, and minds to the wonders of the marine world. " One of our resident box turtles is now living at Team Ecco! The Children and Nature Network  (C&NN) was created to encourage and support the people and organizations working worldwide to reconnect children with nature. C&NN provides access to the latest news and research in the field and a peer-to-peer network of researchers and individuals, educators and organizations dedicated to children's health and well-being.  Earthshine Nature Programs is now a part of C&NN--check us out on theirmovement map!

Wildlife Warriors Worldwide is working keep Steve Irwin's dream alive by striving to protect and conserve wildlife and wild places worldwide . 

Australia Zoo, the home of Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunter."  Not only one of the greatest zoos in the world but they are also conducting some great wildlife research and conservation work such as tracking Raphael the Loggerhead Sea Turtle and Crocodiles!

The Bob Irwin Wildlife Fund is operated by Steve Irwin's father Bob Irwin.  Bob is not only working to protect native Australian wildlife but he is also giving wildlife a voice with his blog.
